While visiting a friend, I came across the coolest little machine. It is a pleater that helps you create evenly spaced smocking on fabric. It’s a lot easier than the typical iron-on dot method. You feed the fabric through gears that push your fabric onto a row of threaded needles. When your fabric comes out of the machine, it has rows of evenly spaced pleats that are ready for smocking. The machine looks intimidating, but it’s actually pretty easy to use.
